Message from the Resident Students
Y.L. 3rd year in Physical Therapy |
Hello, I have started my study here are Nagasaki University to pursue my dream of becoming a Physical Therapist. We are taught basic knowledge of medicine, skills of physical therapy and subjects for general education. Through joint practicum with students from the School of Medicine and other divisions, I learnt also about team approach to medicine and ways of interacting with patients. There are many new discoveries ? I find myself being able to see issues, over which I used to only have superficial understanding, from professional perspectives. I also became clearer about my career goal as I was given the opportunity to think about “what kind” of a medical professional I wish to become. The Division of Physical Therapy is a very small team, so it is easy to become close with fellow students, and we also have many chances to communicate with students from other years, and other courses. I am sure that you too will enjoy learning here with us! |
S.M.4th year in Physical Therapy |
Hello everybody. I think when you can do what you want the most is the second year. From the second year, specialized courses start and we learn about therapeutic exercise and physical therapy, and the various diseases and disorders which directly prepare us for clinical practices. Many students become more motivated as subjects are of their direct interest. Study becomes tougher, but on the other hand, in the second year we have more time to enjoy other aspects of university life, such as student activities, travelling and working part-time. One very good thing about this course is the small number of students. We meet many people as we enter university, but I think the fellow students I meet here are people who I wish to stay friends for my life. Boys and girls mix very well, and we enjoy studying together and working towards becoming a physical therapist. I welcome you to join us! |
