Message from the Chair of APPS 2025

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend my profound appreciation to all participants of the Asia Pacific Prion Symposium 2025. It was a great honor to welcome distinguished researchers, clinicians, and experts from around the world to Nagasaki, and to share with you the latest advances and insights in the field of prion and neurodegenerative disease research.

Your active engagement in the scientific sessions, thoughtful discussions, and generous exchange of expertise greatly contributed to the success and depth of this symposium. I am sincerely grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication each of you brought to APPS2025.

At the same time, I would like to offer my heartfelt apologies for any inconvenience or shortcomings that may have occurred during the preparation or execution of the meeting. Despite these challenges, the symposium was able to conclude smoothly and successfully thanks to the tremendous support, patience, and cooperation of many colleagues, contributors, and staff members. I am deeply indebted to all who assisted us throughout this process.

Please accept my sincere thanks for your invaluable participation and for the collegial spirit that made this symposium truly memorable. I look forward to continued collaboration and to welcoming you again at future Asia Pacific Prion Symposium meetings.

With my deepest gratitude,
Katsuya Satoh, M.D., Ph.D.
